Easy Setup
Try our Y Series evaluation kit and avoid the headaches of wiring and countless hours searching for the one misspelled variable. All you have to do with the Y Series evaluation kit is to connect the cable from the VFD module to the PC, connect the power cable, and run the CUE-Y software, it’s that simple.
Color Filters Available
Noritake Itron offers 5 colors (gray, blue, green, aqua, and rose) in 11 of popular VFD module display sizes.
Additional colors and sizes are available by request.
Available in CMOS and RS232 logic signal
Choose between CMOS logic signal, XXX-Y1A-XXXXX and RS232 logic signal, XXX-Y100-XXXXX.
Please use the corresponding cable that comes with your kit.
One of many useful benefits of the CUE-Y is the record feature.
CUE-Y can record all actions into a routine.
Once the routine is complete, push play and watch the routine executed on to the display.
You evaluated the Y Series using the CUE-Y and now you want to incorporate the routines into your device.
CUE-Y can export recorded routines in C and/or Assembly programming languages, hexadecimal, text, and in CUE-Y native format.
Once the file is exported, import the file directly or copy the code into your program.

For the programmer who prefers evaluating the Y Series with the microcontroller,
sample C/C++ code for PIC controller is included in the CD. Microcontroller not included.
Vibrant display
VFD is an emissive display and compared to the LCD, VFD has higher brightness, higher contrast ratio, wide viewing angle, and doesn’t rely on ambient light source.
Selectable font sizes
New to the Noritake Itron VFD character display is the Y Series selectable font sizes.
select between 1x1, 1x2, and 2x2 font sizes.
All new highlight function
Traditionally when you change the brightness setting, brightness of the entire display changes.
Now with the all new highlight function, the brightness can be set on character basis.
Combine the highlight function with the brightness boost function to create an advanced selection menu.
International font tables
Y-Series comes standard with built in international font tables.
Font tables include English, UK English, French, German, Danish, Swedish, Italian, Spanish (de facto),
Spanish (Castilian), Japanese, Norwegian, Latin America, and Korean.
Descender
Descender is part of a lowercase letter such as g, j, p, and q that extends below the other lowercase letters.
Compared to standard ASCII characters, descender gives lowercase fonts the natural feel of the font tables found in word processor program.
